Medieval costume class

I've been wondering about doing something special just for me this summer.

It feels like I'm always using my time on something I should do rather than would do. And that gets a bit boring in the long run. Therefor I've been looking for something to do that would be fun and educational.

For a while I've been watching "Middelalderuka i Numedal" on Facebook. It's a week long festival with concerts, exhibitions, a market and a lot of different colasses exploring medieval crafts. This year it's starting July 26th and ending August 2nd. I decided to join a course where we're learning how to make you're own medieval garments.

It will be perfect for me! I haven't been sewing for too long and now I have great excuse to do what I want. I've always been interested in medieval times, but I've never worked on it, just admired. Costume history is really my biggest field of interest, I think it lays a lot of knowledge of how to make garments in it, that the most of the world have forgotten. Because these days we don't need it, we have magic factories making our stuff.. Usually it's just geeks like me that bother to learn it, and I hope to meet lots of them!

I'm really excited now!
